Do you care about food?

There are exciting changes happening in the Food Program at Mt. Abe.  Food issues include nutrition and wellness, local jobs, energy consumption, the environment, and education.  If you care about these issues and want to be a part of the conversation, join us for a meeting on

Tuesday, February 14 from 2:45 – 3:45in the Small Cafeteria*.  Snacks will be served!

The group will look at what’s happening, and consider ways to help with COMMUNICATION of current events and changes to the program. We will also look at ways to boost ENGAGEMENT of students, faculty, parents, and community members (including farmers). And we will consider options to create any physical or system CHANGES we envision.  We hope to have Foodies from all Five Towns participate.  Please spread the word.

(*We’re meeting right after school to make it easier for students to participate.  If you’re interested but can’t come at that time, please email
knight@gmavt.net
.  Future meetings may be at different times, and you can be involved even if you can’t attend meetings.)

MEET THE SUPERINTENDENT FINALISTS FORUM

Monday, February 13, 2012

7:00 PM

Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School

The ANESU Board is nearing completion of its search for a new Superintendent of Schools.  We are pleased to announce that after an extensive search process involving many candidates we have selected David AdamsCatrina DiNapoli, and Douglas Harris as finalists for this position to begin July 1, 2012.

This forum is an opportunity for all members of our extended community to meet finalists and provide the Board with your perceptions of these individuals.  We value your input into this very important selection process.  An assessment form will be provided to allow us to collate your opinions and include them in our decision-making process.  We hope to conclude the search and appoint our next Superintendent of Schools by end of February.  Please join our school community by participating in this important forum.  Thank you.
